Anorexia Nervosa May Simply Be The Product Of Unresolved Issues In Past Lives

Anorexia Nervosa May Simply Be The Product Of Unresolved Issues In Past Lives

"All mankind and this Earth require a new song of equality: a song pleasant to all humanity's ears--everything on Earth. Spiritual work, in essence, involves somehow transforming the language of the world through music. All one needs to know remains encoded in our DNA. Anything one requires remains deep within. One finds his heart when finding his way." (Superstar Passage The Reincarnation of Karen Carpenter)

REVIEW
The book's entire metaphysical philosophical study of being and knowing grabs one's attention from the get-go. It continues to mesmerize the reader with  a mysterious, avant-garde nature. While whimsically entertaining, the novel at the same time educates the reader on the so-called "psuedo-sciences." D.G. Farnsworth clearly reveals the mystery of the Mayans' 2012, alternate dimensions and other metaphysical questions in a manner where I can honestly say, "I get it now!"   This experimental work typifies a pushing of the boundaries of what society accepts as the norm or status quo mainly in the cultural realm: not only in regards to the tragic life of singer Karen Carpenter but metaphysical philosophy.  At times. though, the book proves highly abstract--almost like a dream--and overly theoretical. However the pay-off of the novel's surprising ending makes all the scientific jargon relevant.

Author D.G. Farnsworth's well-written and organized novel successfully charts  the boundaries of avant-garde behavior. The reader may find himself asking, "What?"....but invariably exclaiming, "Wow!"

Story Analysis: Superstar Passage The Reincarnation of Karen Carpenter
Although seemingly a ghost story, it really isn't. "Karen Carpenter's reincarnation enters the House of Dark Shadows"...well, sort of. This paranormal study takes place in New Haven, Connecticut (Karen's original hometown)--and follows ingénue Kat's mysterious arrival and interaction with neighbors, family members, and servants at the brooding, haunted Ravencraft estate. Four attractive, single, female neighbors drawn to one another form a band. Kat's scientist neighbor/beau and mysterious "uncle" (and others) offer explanations of ghosts--not the public perception personified over the ages: that there are "beings" around us all the time from alternate dimensions that we can't see.

Characters often engage in conversations about "the soul" --basically, energy that never dies; that simply transfers to either another form or "goes somewhere else" before becoming a new "being." This book is NOTHING what people may expect. (And I hope that is part of its appeal.) Throughout the novel Kat gets a chance to reflect upon Karen's life: mistakes, lessons, and neglected matters. Recently, a lot of folks grew excited when the bottle-water company Aquafina used "Top of the World" to promote their product. But in light of the fact that Karen Carpenter often survived on a "water diet" while literally starving herself to death, was this really a wise choice?

Each of the characters' past and present lives are explored. The novel promotes my theory (and Dr. Brian L. Weiss') that many of our troubles reflect past lives: unresolved issues left unattended that result in chaos in the present. For example, anorexia nervosa may simply be the product of unresolved issues in past lives. Hence, I explore some "fictional" and real issues that Karen Carpenter faced in past lives that could have led to her anorexia..

The novel discusses the current rise of Higher Consciousness; and reveals the mystery of the Mayans' 2012 calendar, and the reincarnation of Karen Carpenter's role in it...alternate dimensions and other metaphysical philosophical questions. Does time really exist? HINT: I based the novel on the Carpenters' "Passage" album hit "Calling Occupants of Interplantetary Craft (The Recognized Anthem of World Contact Day)."
